Look for the purple LMHE sign at the register. There's no sales tax on those purchases. A 10% donation to the Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience, a 501(c)(3), is included on your bill instead.

Three days of New Orleans funk, Cajun and Creole culture on the riverfront, from the Aquarium at the foot of Canal Street to St. Louis Street.

Getting in

  • Canal Street main entrance at the Aquarium, 1 Canal Street. Box office and will call. Use this address for rideshare.
  • Bienville Street entrance by the floodwall. Box office here too.
  • St. Louis Street is for re-entry. You can leave and come back through any entrance once your wristband is on.
  • Everyone walks through a metal detector. Prohibited items can be thrown out or taken back to your car. Surrendered items are not returned.

  • One sealed water bottle per person, plus empty refillable bottles
  • Backpacks and purses
  • Strollers, diaper bags and baby formula

Getting here

  • Streetcar and ferry. The Canal streetcar stop and the Canal Street ferry landing are right outside the main entrance.
  • Bus. RTA routes 2, 10, 11, 12, 47, 48, 49, 55, 57 and 91. A $3 Jazzy Pass covers unlimited rides for the day. Details at norta.com.
  • Parking. Premium lots P406 (385 Iberville), P402 (300 North Peters) and P188 (200 Notre Dame). Park First Badine Lot (111 Iberville). Hilton parking at 728 Convention Center Blvd and 100 Poydras Street.

Upgrades

  • VIP: the NOTCF VIP Lounge and Tent on Kohlmeyer Lawn and the Funky Tucks VIP Riser at the Great Lawn Stage.
  • Funky Uncle: Fat Banker's Funky Uncle Lounge, the Funky Uncle Onstage Lounge at the Great Lawn Stage, and the 3:00 Cajun Village sessions.
  • VIP and Funky Uncle tickets each come with a merch bag. Pick it up at the Funk Fest Merch tent.
  • A 3-day VIP ticket comes as three single-day wristbands, one each for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Anyone can use each day's wristband.

Health & comfort

  • First Aid tent on the Palm Lawn, staffed by New Orleans EMS. EMS teams are also at the Canal Street box office and the Bienville entrance.
  • Water refill station on Kohlmeyer Lawn, by the river.
  • Restrooms and handwashing, with accessible options, along the floodwall side of the park.
  • Info booths across the park if you need a hand. Emergency exits are marked on the map.

Accessibility

  • Start at the main ticket booth at 1 Canal Street to get your wristband and the ADA entrance.
  • Concrete ramps and metal rail paths run across the grounds.
  • The AOS Great Lawn Stage has a marked ADA elevated viewing section. There's also accessible viewing at the NOTCF Stage.
  • Staff in yellow shirts can help with anything you need.
